Mini’s performance-driven JCW (John Cooper Works) line-up has landed in Singapore with a bang, as Mini Asia and Eurokars Habitat unveiled five exciting new models over the weekend, including two fully electric entries. The launch event, held at 25 Pasir Panjang Road, embraced a gritty “underground party” atmosphere, perfectly capturing the bold spirit of the new range.
Marking a milestone in Mini’s history, the JCW Electric and JCW Aceman are the brand’s first fully electric JCW models. Both EVs deliver an impressive 190kW of power and 350Nm of torque, with an extra 20kW boost available via a performance function. The JCW Aceman accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the JCW Electric completes the sprint in 6.4 seconds. Both have a top speed of 200km/h.
Powered by a 54.2kWh battery, the JCW Electric offers up to 371km of range, while the Aceman delivers up to 355km on a full charge. They also feature JCW-specific suspension tuning for precise handling, and come fitted with high-performance tyres as standard.
Design-wise, both EVs sport distinctive elements like a red-white-black JCW checkered logo and a bold red roof. Model-specific aeroblades, black side skirts, and a sleek rear spoiler enhance their sporty aesthetic and aerodynamic performance.
Joining the electrified duo are two petrol-powered favourites: the new Mini JCW Hatch and JCW Convertible. Both come equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine pushing out 228bhp and 380Nm of torque — a notable upgrade of 60Nm from their predecessors. The JCW Hatch sprints to 100km/h in 6.1 seconds, while the JCW Convertible follows close behind at 6.4 seconds. Their top speeds are 250km/h and 245km/h respectively.
The JCW Convertible offers an added element of fun with a soft-top roof that retracts in just 18 seconds. A quirky Always Open timer tracks how long the driver enjoys the open-air experience. On the outside, these two models feature a bold octagonal front grille, red air inlet inserts, and a black rear diffuser with a centrally mounted tailpipe.
Completing the line-up is the all-new Mini JCW Countryman ALL4 — the largest and most versatile of the group. Designed for growing families with a need for performance, it offers generous interior space, including a roomy rear bench and a 505-litre boot. Under the hood is a 2.0-litre engine producing 296bhp and 400Nm of torque, paired with all-wheel drive. It rockets from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250km/h.
Exterior highlights on the JCW Countryman include aerodynamic detailing with red reflectors and vertical taillights in JCW Signature Mode. Inside, all five JCW models showcase a bold black and red colour scheme, JCW sports seats with multi-coloured knitted upholstery, and a JCW steering wheel with red stitching. A Harman Kardon sound system comes standard across the board, ensuring an immersive audio experience.
Every model is equipped with Mini’s Digital Key Plus system, allowing users to unlock and start their vehicle simply by being nearby with a compatible smartphone. Additionally, all models include a JCW-specific Go-Kart Mode for those craving a motorsport-inspired driving experience.
The launch event was attended by car enthusiasts, Mini club members, and several iconic JCW models from previous generations. Selected customers were also treated to exclusive test drives on specially designed routes around the area.
As of now, prices start at $257,888 for the JCW Electric and go up to $317,888 for the JCW Countryman ALL4, inclusive of COE. With this powerful and diverse range, Mini continues to blend performance, innovation, and personality — now with an electrifying twist.
