Drake has confessed to digitally modifying a shirtless photo that became popular earlier this year.
The 38-year-old rapper, known as Aubrey Drake Graham, has been surrounded by speculations of undergoing cosmetic surgery after the picture spread online. He clarified that the image was a result of excessive use of the Facetune app.
Discussing the viral photo on Bobbi Althoff's podcast "Not This Again," Drake mentioned, "Maybe I, like, heightened the saturation. I think I hit it too hard. They don't look like that."
His explanation came after Bobbi suggested, "People think you got a procedure done."
In June, the Canadian rapper triggered rumors of having abdominal etching - a liposuction method to create the impression of defined abs - by sharing a photo of his six-pack.
Drake refuted undergoing surgery during the podcast, stating, "No. People also say that I got a (Brazilian butt lift), right?"
"They call me BBL Drizzy. I don't know if my wagon looked crazy when I walked in here, but did it?"
This reference was from a 2023 AI-generated diss track named "BBL Drizzy" by his rival Metro Boomin, mocking the plastic surgery rumors about Drake.
Drake added, "I think it was just like I came from the gym. I was sweaty in that pic. Maybe I like went on Facetune and put, like, details up, you know?"
"When you can make it… sorry, just being honest!"
Bobbi reacted, "You Facetuned it?!"
Drake confirmed, "Yeah, I was, maybe I heightened the saturation or something on it? I think I hit it too hard. I hit it too hard. Yeah, (my abs) don't look like that. You saw them."
The Ovo Sound co-founder has not revealed his workout routine frequency, but in August, he shared jogging statistics from a running app.
He previously posted hot tub selfies from Australia in February, though it is uncertain if those were altered.
Drake has been the subject of diss tracks from Kendrick Lamar, including "Meet the Grahams," featuring a photo of a prescription for the diabetes drug Ozempic under Drake's legal name.
In November, Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, accusing Kendrick's team of using bots and payola schemes to inflate the streaming numbers of his track "Not Like Us."
The ongoing feud has resulted in at least five Kendrick diss tracks, such as "Euphoria" and "6:16 in LA," accusing Drake of various issues from cosmetic procedures to personal controversies.
