When civil unrest occurs, various aspects of people's lives are impacted, ranging from their safety to their rights - and even concert tickets in the case of Indonesia.
On September 2, it was announced that ticket sales in Jakarta for Jackson Wang's upcoming Magicman II world tour, initially set for September 4, would be postponed.
Asian entertainment company iMe released a statement on social media, stating: "This decision has been made with careful consideration of the current situation in Indonesia, to ensure everyone's comfort and well-being."
Protests broke out in multiple Indonesian cities on August 25 over lawmakers' allowance increases, intensifying after a police vehicle struck and killed a motorcycle taxi driver on August 28, resulting in at least 10 fatalities.

In response to iMe's announcements, many fans of Jackson Wang, a member of the K-pop boy band Got7, expressed their appreciation.
One netizen wrote: "Thank you Jackson Wang and Team Wang, I really appreciate it."
Another commented: "Thank you for being mindful, attentive, and aware of what's happening globally and politically in Indonesia."

Some netizens used iMe's announcement as an opportunity to urge entertainment company CK Star, promoting ticket sales for K-pop boy band Riize's upcoming concert in Jakarta, to follow suit.
Reposting iMe's statement, a netizen wrote: "CK Star, the ticket sales for Riize should be postponed too. The time until the concert is still a long four months away. Please open your eyes to the current state of the country, consider it with your mind and heart."
Another pointed out: "CK Star, if iMe can do this for a concert in October, why can't you? What's the rush in holding ticket sales so quickly?"

CK Star later announced the postponement of ticket sales, providing an updated sale schedule.
The company stated: "After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the ticket sales for 2026 Riize Concert Tour Riizing Loud in Jakarta due to the current situation in Indonesia. Thank you for your kind understanding and support."
Fans welcomed the decision, affirming that the company "made the right move".

One fan commented: "So what's up with Super Junior's concert? It's super close now, if you want to postpone, just say so. And if not, say that too - please let us know!"
Another inquired: "What about Super Junior's concert? Will it be postponed or not? If it is, please announce it as soon as possible. Because I'm from out of town, I need to cancel my plane ticket and hotel booking if the concert is delayed."
An Instagram user from Papua mentioned: "We have booked plane tickets and hotels, but we need clarity due to the current situation - for example, security concerns. It is preferable if you postpone it so we can be better prepared."

On August 31, South Korean actor Park Bo-gum held a fan-meet in Jakarta despite some safety concerns raised by netizens.
Two days before the event, iMe posted a token giveaway announcement indicating that the fan-meet would proceed.
An Indonesian content creator stated: "Those in Jakarta want to leave for safety. Those outside Jakarta want to come and are seeking a safe route. Please reschedule the fan-meet. The stakes are high - before, during, and after the event."
A fan of Bo-gum shared: "It's better to postpone the fan-meet. I sympathize with fans from outside the area who may not have permission to attend the event...
"Do we want to have fun while others are fighting on the streets, risking their lives for people's rights, including ours? ... I'm a fan of Bo-gum, but I'm also an Indonesian citizen."

As of the time of writing, there have been no reported incidents during Bo-gum's fan-meet.
