Scoot has recently announced the launch of three new flight routes, providing travelers with direct access to Okinawa, Chiang Rai, and Tokyo's Haneda Airport.
The new routes will be introduced gradually between December 2026 and March 2026. The service will commence with three weekly flights to Okinawa starting from December 15, followed by five weekly flights to Chiang Rai from January 1, 2026, and daily flights to Tokyo-Haneda from March 1, 2026.
Notably, the direct flight between Singapore and Okinawa will be exclusively operated by Scoot, offering travelers a convenient and efficient travel option.
Prices for one-way economy tickets to Okinawa and Tokyo-Haneda will start from S$190, and S$128 for Chiang Rai, inclusive of taxes.
Starting from August 12, the new flights are open for booking on Scoot's website and mobile app, with availability expanding to other platforms gradually.
In addition to the new routes, Scoot will be increasing flight frequencies to various destinations to accommodate the surge in air travel during the upcoming holiday season. Some of the highlighted destinations include Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Ipoh, Jeju, Taipei, Tokyo-Narita, Sapporo, and Vienna, Austria.
Scoot mentioned that the enhanced services to these cities will cater to the increased demand for air travel during the year-end and new year holiday periods.
In 2024, Japan welcomed a record number of visitors, with 691,100 tourists visiting the country.
