A Singaporean man has been detained by authorities in Johor Bahru following a heated road rage confrontation that escalated into alleged vehicle damage.
The incident, captured in a viral Facebook video posted on Saturday (June 7) by the victim's girlfriend, shows an enraged motorist shouting profanities at another driver. According to the woman's account, the altercation began when she and her boyfriend encountered stalled traffic during their lunch outing.
"We were stuck behind a stationary car that caused a bottleneck," the woman explained. "Like other frustrated drivers, we honked repeatedly to signal the vehicle to move."
After briefly advancing, the problematic car stopped again - prompting further horn blasts from waiting vehicles. This apparently triggered an angry response from the driver of a Singapore-registered Toyota Altis behind them.
"He suddenly stormed out of his car and started yelling at us," recounted the woman. "Ironically, he accused us of not honking enough to clear traffic."
The situation quickly deteriorated when the Singaporean allegedly spat at and shoved her boyfriend while challenging him to fight. Showing restraint due to his partner's illness, her boyfriend declined physical confrontation but suggested resolving matters at a nearby police station.
Enraged by this proposal, the man reportedly kicked and punched their BMW sedan before fleeing - leaving visible dents as evidence of his outburst. Despite initially agreeing to visit authorities together, he drove away instead.
